The CRADLE Symbol

CRADLE logoThe CRADLE symbol was designed by Japanese well-known woodblock artist Fumio Kitaoka at the time the Center was established. Utilizing the acronym and depicting an infant holding onto the letter 'T' (for Technology), the relevance was immediately apparent.

Now, fourteen years later and with the increased emphasis on and importance of lifelong learning - which is gained 'from the cradle to the grave' - the meaning of the insignia is even deeper and more appropriate. Much energy and creative thought are currently being devoted to ways in which human beings can take advantage of the increasing abundance of information available through the various means of modern technology. CRADLE is constantly striving to open the doors of the world to individuals at every stage of life by developing new ways of making education interesting for all.
